August 11, 2022

Everybody loves beach waves! That air-dried hair with soft waviness, evoking summer days spent on the beach. But you do not need to be on holidays to have great hair – keep on reading if you want to learn a few simple tricks for an effortless style.

From the use of a curling iron to a simple headband, it’s possible to create different types of beach waves. However, it is very important to distinguish what type of hair we are working with, what texture it has, and which products are the most suitable to create the beach waves and make them last as long as possible.

How to Get Natural Looking Beach Waves in Your Hair

Beach waves are a flattering look for everyone regardless of haircut (except pixies). But this carefree look requires some knowledge of hair type and products.

  • Sleeping with braided hair: one of the fastest ways to get this look without using a straightener or curling iron. Brush the hair before going to sleep to eliminate knots and tangles. With the head upside down, create a three-strand braid as close to the crown of the head as possible and finish before reaching the ends with an elastic band. After waking up, untangle the braid and apply Style Masters ™ AMPLIFIER MOUSSE ™ to add volume, definition, and hold. Et voila, natural beach waves!
  • Flexible wands: girls and boys of the world, the beach look with flexible wands is the order of the day. They come in different sizes. You may need to try a few to see which one is best for the thickness of each hair type. Apply a little bit of Style Masters ™ Creator Defining Gel ™ on each strand before wrapping it around the rod. Wait for the hair to dry completely (or, if you want a lot of definition, sleep with them on).

Wavy Hair With Heat Styling

For more defined and long-lasting beach waves, irons and curling irons are needed. But don’t worry! There are products that will prevent hair damage and will leave hair looking and feeling great.

Flat iron or curling iron: before using heat, use a hair protector such as Style Masters ™ Lissaver and evenly distribute product by using your fingers or a comb. Then, divide the hair into four sections and, using a flat iron, open and close the iron along the strands creating waves from the roots to the ends. To finish the look, add shine without weighing the hair down by using Style Masters™ shine spray GLAMOURAMA™.

Beach Waves According to Hair Type

It’s important to take into account the type of hair you are dealing with in order to style it correctly and know what products you will need.

  • Straight hair, pronounced beach wave: for hair that is completely straight and does not hold hairstyles very well, you must first use a hair dryer, and apply Style Masters ™ Volume Elevator Spray ™ at the roots to maintain volume. Then, with a curling iron, create the beach waves by strands, fixing the hair with Style Masters™ Must-haves Photo Finisher™ to increase durability.
  • Wavy hair, natural beach wave: this type of hair is easier, as it is naturally wavy. To create the beach look, just apply Style Masters™ Creator Memory Spray™ to enhance the tousled shape of the beach wave.
  •  Curly and coily hair, stretched beach waves: the process for this type of hair is the opposite. As it is very curly, you must first straighten it (not completely and always with heat protectors), and then use a flat iron to set the beach wave.
